Bachelor of Science - Exercise Science | Salisbury University

Hello! I’m Lael Kelley.

My fitness journey began back in high school, running on the treadmill and doing circuit workouts I found on Bodybuilding.com while my parents lifted and took classes at our local Powerhouse Gym in Salisbury, MD. They were a big influence in helping me build a consistent exercise routine. I didn’t realize it then, but those early runs, spin classes, and lifting sessions laid the foundation for what would become my lifelong passion for fitness.

As the years went on, I became increasingly serious about training—not just the body, but the mind. I’ve always loved total-body workouts, and that passion led me to Fit Body Boot Camp, where I trained multiple times a week (and sometimes twice a day!). That experience pushed me to explore something new and a little intimidating at the time—CrossFit. Since the summer of 2017, I’ve been training hard, learning, and growing in CrossFit and functional fitness gyms across the Eastern Shore.

I graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in Exercise Science and went on to coach CrossFit classes and intern at SBYFit (formerly CrossFit Salisbury). Later, as Head Personal Trainer at CoreLife Healthcare in Millsboro, DE, I had the privilege of working one-on-one with clients of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels—from beginners and older adults to those managing diabetes, recovering from injuries, or simply striving to feel strong and confident again.

In September 2021, I opened LK FITNESS to bring my own approach to personal training—one rooted in connection, education, and sustainable change. I believe that building healthier lives isn’t just about exercise—it’s about creating meaningful transformation, inside and out.
